We're not simply in the business of selling houses. We're in the business of helping families build lasting wealth — through strategy, honest numbers, and a builder's eye for what a property can become.
At The Buis Team, we believe real estate is more than a transaction. For many families, their home is one of their largest financial assets and one of the greatest opportunities they have to build long-term wealth.
Whether you're preparing to sell a property you've spent years building equity in, purchasing your next home, relocating to Northwest Montana, or investing for the future, the decisions you make in real estate can have a lasting impact on your financial future. That's why we approach real estate differently.
We bring a builder's eye, an investor's mindset, and a business approach to every transaction — combined with straightforward communication and a commitment to putting our clients' interests first. Our goal isn't simply to close another transaction. It's to help you make smart real estate decisions that protect what you've built and create opportunities for what's ahead.
It began more than 20 years ago in construction and development. I earned a Business Management degree from the University of South Florida and hold a State Certified Building Contractor License in Florida. Over the course of my career, I've gained hands-on experience in construction, renovations, development, and real estate investment.
That background taught me to look at property differently. I understand how homes are built. I understand where value can be created. I understand how property condition can affect marketability. And I understand that sometimes a relatively small improvement can have a significant impact on how a property is perceived by the market.
We don't just look at what a property is. We look at what it can be.
From the age of 12, he mentored me in business, investing, development, and real estate. He was a successful developer, investor, and entrepreneur who owned a real estate brokerage. In 2010, I had the privilege of beginning to work alongside him.
Together, we invested in residential and commercial rehabilitation projects, redevelopment opportunities, and investment properties — taking neglected and distressed properties and working to bring them back to their full value through strategic planning, disciplined investing, and quality construction.
Growing up during the Great Depression shaped the way my grandfather approached business. He was calculated, disciplined, and rarely allowed emotion to cloud an important financial decision.
Real estate is emotional — and it should be. A home represents family, memories, hard work, and often years of sacrifice. But when it's time to make an important financial decision, our clients deserve an advisor who can separate emotion from strategy and provide honest guidance based on experience, market conditions, and facts. Although my grandfather has passed away, his wisdom, grit, integrity, and disciplined approach to business continue to influence the way I lead our team and serve our clients today.
For many families, their home represents years — or decades — of accumulated equity. Our job is to help you protect it, position it, and maximize it when it's time to sell, looking at property, market, competition, condition, and buyer expectations.
Not every improvement is worth making before selling — knowing the difference matters. Our construction background helps sellers determine where their time and money are best spent, from preparation to closing.
The highest suggested listing price isn't always the strategy that produces the highest sale price. We evaluate comparables, competition, condition, and buyer behavior — then we explain the numbers.
More than 20 years of construction and development experience gives us the ability to recognize quality, identify concerns, and understand renovation possibilities — for sellers and buyers alike.
Years of rehabilitating and repositioning properties taught us to look beyond what's immediately visible — understanding what a property could become, for sellers and investors alike.
Great negotiation isn't about being the loudest person in the room — it's about preparation. We remove unnecessary emotion from the table and work toward the strongest possible outcome.
You shouldn't have to chase your real estate agent for information. We believe clients deserve honest conversations — even when the answer isn't necessarily what someone wants to hear. Trust is earned through honesty.
It's to become the real estate resource your family trusts for years to come — someone you can call:
